Does anyone have a template for displaying portfolio images in the bio section of your profile page? I had mine looking good, then tried to edit it with recent challenge entries, and messed it up.

I tried adding a new photo after my existing ones, and was able to do by using the "insert thumbnail link" icon, and entering the ID of the image.

I suspect you somehow inadvertently inserted new code in the "middle" of some existing code, which is easy to do as each insert image request generates about 2-3 lines of code, starting with
[/ url] . I had to add some spaces as otherwise it "interprets" the code right here in this post, but will not show the code!.

It might help to copy all the code into a document and examine it closely for whether each sequence of and is still "balanced". At least in a separate document you can insert spaces and new line breaks to see where each " pair starts and ends.

ETA, By "being balanced" I mean each is followed by a corresponding BEFORE another is encountered.

Hard to explain. I hope this helps!

Maybe the icon to insert the thumbnails in the bio field was not there when I first added the pics and I never realized it now had it. Duh!

Thanks.

I see you've managed to fix it so you don't need help now. But for future reference, when I add a new photo (sometimes between my existing ones, depending on who gave me their personal award) I always copy and paste the whole list into a Word document so I have backup in case something goes wrong. Sometimes it's really difficult to work out where the new image should go.

Ditto.

I mucked up mine some time ago and any attempt to fix it made it worse. I gave up and don't think I'll try again even now.

Always copy/paste somewhere.

I guess it would be in bad form to mention that I have more trouble editing my profile page than all of the other things and places I deal with on the 'Net.

And I haven't written a check since January of '14, I actively source automotive repair parts, I'm over 65 so I have a lot of household, medical, and guv'mint portals so I do spend some time dealing with online details.

But the DPC profile page details are incomprehensible to me.

It took me a dozen tries to get my team affiliations right but I have *NO* idea where the fonts came from that accompany them an it's different from all fonts on the rest of the page.

It makes my OCD twitch somewhat, but not enough to go down that rabbit hole and possibly lose the info.

What's a check? Their use was discontinued in South Africa at the end of 2020.

Really?! Huh. I still write a check now and then. Probably about once a month. Never left in a mailbox though. That seems to be a problem nowadays.
