 early morning .. and i was taking photos in the grass after it had rained in the night .. and this mosquito just flew into the shot and landed on that tiny stalk of grass ..
what a moment .. !! ..
it was a nice photo before he landed .. but for an insect lover it became a real keeper thanks to that little mosquito .. :)

an added bit of info .. i had to get down really low kneeling with the camera almost on the ground .. but couldnt see thru the viewfinder easily .. so i lay down on my stomach ..
toddy thought i was playing and jumped on my back .. lucky he didnt scare the little mosquito away ..
but i cracked up .. it was so funny ..
imagine someone lying on their stomach in the wet grass taking photos with a dog on their back .. classic ..
lucky he's only small .. 4.5kg .. :)

and apologies .. but this was taken on the morning that this went in for voting .. and was a couple of days to go till winter here in australia .. but if i had taken this in spring it would have looked pretty much the same ...

I'll go with MaryO on this and, I didn't even notice the photobomber at first because I couldn't take my eyes of the the amazingly beautiful bokeh... Stunnning image, Roz. Congrats on the HM.

What a beautiful capture. The colours are amazing and that little critter is the cherry on the pie. Makes me want to go camping. Congrats!

Literally said "wow" out loud when I opened this. Love everything about it: the light, the color, the composition, and that glorious bokeh. It's just magical.
