 this is mr tod .. he was two years old yesterday when i took this photo ..

i love it when dogs put their heads on the side as if they are listening .. its not something mr tod does unless he hears something really unusual .. but i especially wanted him to do it for this challenge ..

so i got a whistle out of the kitchen drawer and took him into the paddock .. told him to sit .. he's not good at sitting in one spot for any length of time ..

got everything ready to take a pic .. my distance from him and my settings .. felt i'd probably only have one shot at him putting his head to the side ..

blew the whistle and he put his head on the side .!!.

got a couple of shots .. not totally happy ..

so i tried again .. epic fail .. when i blew the whistle from then on he came running to me ...

i will have to google how to teach him to put his head on the side .. as it doesnt come naturally to him .. i'm the one who has to learn how to teach him .. he'll pick it up real quick once i do .. he's the intelligent one in the relationship .. ;)

feeling a bit emotional here ..!!..

13 wonderful comments with approx 4 hours and 45 minutes to rollover ..
and me and toddy have reached dizzying heights .. which i'm 'recording' for prosterity .. just in case this score becomes a fleeting memory .. ;)

This was my favorite image in the challenge. Your dog is beautiful, I love the look in his eye and the tilt in his head but nothing caught my eye more than his ears. I love his ears, one up one down. All this and great lighting used perfectly. I had a hunch this was one of your amazing images.

Oh Roz, this is possibly my favourite ever photo of Mr Tod. this is just absolutely delightful - spot on with the technicals, of course, but captured with such love and such bagfulls of character. Rare I give a 10 on first pass, but there isn't any other score I could give!

Oh HI TODDY! Bathed in such exquisite light... with those soulful eyes and perfectly engaged ears, I feel like you will likely give your momma another ribbon. You're such a gooooooooood dog! :)
