This was another trial and error setup. I wish I could have been further away from the car to make the hood ornament smaller but I ran out of room with the trees behind me. Besides I had to keep going back and forth between the car and my perch, take a picture and check then move the camera incrementally so I lined up properly. Kind of tiring after a while. I’m not so young anymore! I used the remote trigger with the Bluetooth to my phone but it would only connect so far away. Finally I got my wife to help me press the shutter. The neighbors think I’m crazy!

Yes. I selectively blurred the background so that I would standout better from the surroundings. It would have been better to take this shot where there was nothing behind me but this was convenient. My car is parked in my driveway.

Yes. I selectively blurred the background so that I would standout better from the surroundings. It would have been better to take this shot where there was nothing behind me but this was convenient. My car is parked in my driveway.

There is a bit too much halo around the hood ornament but otherwise nice composition.

right idea, the processing and blur really throw me almost like he's inserted but maybe he was lost in the background without that
