The Hill is the name of our bush block.
This has exceeded my expectations! Quite a sunset! The 10-22mm lens turned the sky into magic. And Photomatix brought out the color.
BUT there is no house in this photo (it is behind me) so DNMCs are certain. The trolls must be getting their nails sharpened for the rollover :/ 6+ if lucky

6.87 at 100 - amazing drop!!

Nervous wait now - are there many 7s? Is this Top 5? It would nice to see my home on my profile page :)

My first Yellow!! :)

PS I actually agree with Allen on this - it is the POP over the top!! BUT he has a few that are slightly over the top too ;) When I started at DPC doing PP like nightpixels was my dream. I even PM'd him asking how he does it! Now I probably should rethink it again.

Congratulations, Margaret. I assumed the house was behind in this so DNMC didn't enter my head. What fabulous views you have.

Congrats Margaret!!!!! I'm getting pretty good at picking out your Style! You have developed sooo much since your first pix here on DPC.. and sooo fast! Before you know it some one is going to do a In the Style of MargaretN challenge!!! and I do NOT feel this was overdone at all... As Tanguera said, Now I HATE you even more... LOL just jokeing I hate me for not developing any style, You Go Girl friend!

Congrats on your yellow but I just find this way overdone to a point that it loses its attractiveness as an image. Just my opinion of course :)

NOW THIS IS AWESOME I LOVE ALL your LANDSCAPES and this one very much due to the SQUARE CROP and something like this in the sherpet challenge would have done well. The one thing about my style is that I nearly always use the SQUARE CROP as I love the effect of the images inside of them... LOVE this one and now a favorite another of yours images as a Shez favorite...xox - by the way I was one of your 10 as i loved this when i saw it for the first time as it just POPPED for me..... from shez xox

I want to vote this higher, but the connection to "Home Sweet Home" is not hitting me either in the picture or the title.

HDR explosion ! the purples really make this shot. cool and laid in behind the green they add cool contrast to the fiery sky. Nothing short of perfect.

This must be HDR.
Very good imact and the colours PUNCH out.
NOw the subjective. To me a crop a little above the tallest tree giving the landscape a rule of thirds prominance would make the picture stand out.
Very nice. Thanks for sharing

Very cool scene, and I like the play of the clouds against the trees. But I don't like the end processing result at all. It's just to harsh in the edges with some unflattering halo effects around the trees.

this is a so wonderful image! But I'm not susre if it meets the challenge very well...
In a free study I would give 8 or 9 points.
