when i go for a walk with katee there are sometimes wild kangaroos around especially in the morning ..
i cant get anywhere near them before they hop away ..

i was fully zoomed in .. mirrorless - 150mm lens with 1.4 extender on .. which equates to 420mm on full frame camera .. even so they were extremely small in the photograph ..
i got some photos of them boxing each other as well ...
the quality because they were so far away was woeful ..

i thought of doing a diptych .. with two panels .. make love not war .. or something like that .. with the ones almost loving each other .. and the other ones boxing ... but thought it was a bit cliche ..
so went with this ..

i took another photo on the firetrail for the background and combined the two photos .. the kangaroos and the background ..
hoping their cuteness will make up for the poor technicals ..

How amazing that you can go for a morning walk and see Kangaroos! I actually thought this was a scene from a zoo. I'm sorry to say that I would have scored it higher if I knew. Not to say that this is not a wonderful capture, but there is always that extra something special when you see animals free and in the wild.

The one on the left is whispering sweet nothings to the one on the right... this is very sweet, I love the light as well!

Ohmy! The way they are relating to each other! Makes my heart melt, and it DOES seem almost human.

Sheer adorableness! In their own way (not human but this is, alas, how we relate to animals)
All in all very nice image, as if it was taken years ago and saved in a drawer
blissful light
